CBC-Malaysia was established in 1970 and incorporated in 1985 to become Connell Bros. (Malaysia) Ltd. In 1999 we acquired Express Chemicals, a rubber and latex chemical distribution company, which now operates as a CBC-Malaysia business unit.  Our headquarters in Shah Alam handles overall administration and accounting and is a platform for sales, marketing and distribution of imported and locally manufactured products throughout Malaysia.

We employ 50 people in two wholly owned offices in the Klang Valley (Shah Alam) and Johor Bahru, with a sales force stretching to Penang and eastern Malaysia. Our two company-owned warehouses are strategically located to provide just-in-time deliveries to all customers in the region.

In 2006, we purchased the majority shares of Gulf Chemicals to strengthen our position as a leader in Food Ingredients distribution.  Gulf continues to operate independently of CBC-Malaysia as a subsidiary of Connell Brothers.
